Journey Kids

SUNDAY MORNING  9:00 & 10:45 AM

We place a high value on our kids at Journey Community Church! When we gather on Sunday mornings we help children come to know Jesus and grow in their faith as His followers. With a great team of volunteers, we explore the Bible through active, age-appropriate teaching, worship, crafts and games.

Safety is a priority in Journey Kids. Everyone who works with our kids are background checked,  and our kid's classrooms are monitored by a member of our Safety Team each Sunday.  We use a check-in/check-out system to ensure your child is safe while in our care.  We want every parent to feel confident in their child's safety while they entrust them to us.

OUR MISSION

Journey Kids exists to equip children and families to model Jesus, to grow together in the knowledge
that all are created in HIS image and that together we are on a journey to know, love and serve Jesus Christ. Journey Kids believes each child is created in His Image and throughout the morning we strive to incorporate this in our teaching time.

Genesis 1:27 says:
”So God created man in His image, in His image He created them.”

What would it look like if EVERY CHILD who walked through our doors,
walked out standing firm in the knowledge that they are created in the image of God?

OUR VALUES

BEING JESUS CENTERED (Rom. 12:2)

We do this through: Sunday morning programs that involve age appropriate Christ-centered curriculum, Bible memorization, kids worship and prayer.

PARTNERING WITH FAMILIES (Deut. 6:5-9)

We do this by: Encouraging further family growth opportunities through parent take-homes, Bible memorization, opportunities to invite friends to Journey activities, regular parent communication; providing resources and family events.

EXCELLENT ENVIRONMENTS (Matt. 19:14)

We do this by: Creating inviting environments, keeping our classrooms clean, ensuring a safe and secure check-in process, being culturally relevant and most importantly staffing with loving and dedicated volunteers.

CULTIVATING COMMUNITY (Col. 4:5-6)

We do this by: Providing family and kids serving opportunities throughout the year, offering free Parents Night Out for those in the community and participating in Camas Downtown activities as a way to serve and bless those in our community.
